Ways You Can Help

We are fortunate to have an incredible group of diverse and talented people who work together to support the IWS Children’s Clinic. Here are some ways you can help us give kids the gift of good health.

Become a Member of the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society. Our members are our most active and involved volunteers, and we need your help our IWS Children’s Clinic thrive.

Host a children’s book drive for the IWS Children’s Clinic. We give every child who comes for a medical or dental exam a new or used book, so we need up to 10,000 books each year.

Host a toothbrush or toothpaste drive for the IWS Children’s Clinic. We complete more than 6,000 dental exams each year, so your drive will help our patients walk away with new tools for clean teeth.

Volunteer in our Portable Dentistry Program. We provide free dental cleanings to children at their neighborhood schools, and we seek interested volunteers who enjoy working directly with children to help us make the experience fun for kids.

Donate to support our IWS Children’s Clinic. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue our services for low-income families.

It's All About The Kids

Bryan's Story

When five-year-old Bryan came in for his first visit, he was so scared to see the dentist that he started crying the moment he arrived. To calm him down, Dr. Lynse Briney play-acted the procedure on a stuffed dinosaur. Following this “play,” Bryan was able to calm down and had four cavities filled that day. Dr. Briney also counseled his mom on better brushing and nutrition habits. She hopes Bryan will return for his six-month check-up without any new cavities.
