SUSTAIN NURSING CARE FOR CHILDREN

Mary Anderson Empowering Tomorrow Fund

Named in honor of former Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society President Mary Anderson, this endowed fund of the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society currently generates more than $3,000 in yearly income. It helps sustain nursing care for children at the IWS Children’s Clinic both today and tomorrow.

The fund provides annual income for children to receive care. This endowed fund can also provide for special projects the clinic could not otherwise afford. A special gift from the fund in 2013 enabled us to remodel the Medical Station.

For more information about the Mary Anderson Empowering Tomorrow Fund, and the significant impact your gift can have on children at our clinic, please contact Lise Braithwaite, at 708.848.0528 ext. 231. You can also make a secure online donation to the Mary Anderson Empowering Tomorrow Fund.

Medical Station and Reception Area Renovation

In 2013 we completed a renovation of our Medical station and waiting room, made possible by a grant from the Westlake Foundation combined with funds from the Mary Anderson Empowering Tomorrow Fund.

The renovation enhances our clinic security, gives better access to confidential patient areas, expands the nurse’s station space and provides efficiencies. Additionally, the renovation improved aesthetics with a fresh new coat of paint and new flooring in the reception and patient areas.
